About

I am a Palestinian medical doctor from the Gaza Strip. I graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Al-Quds University in 2022 and began my career as a medical officer with the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

When the war began in October 2023, I joined the orthopaedic department of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, the only functioning hospital in the middle area of the Gaza Strip at the time and a refuge for more than a million displaced people during the war. For thirteen months, I worked in its Red Zone, triaging mass-casualty events, stabilising patients in shock, managing open fractures and amputations, and making decisions about limb salvage under impossible conditions.

Alongside my clinical work, I became an independent researcher and formed a small research team. We have published on how the orthopaedic department adapted during the war, facial and plastic injuries, thoracic and abdominal trauma outcomes, the impact of displacement on older adults, and the challenges of collecting medical data in a conflict zone.

I later joined Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), first as a medical data operator with MSF Spain, where I managed mission data and contributed to reports including This is not aid. This is orchestrated killing, documenting attacks on Palestinians waiting for food near Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution centres during the famine in summer 2025.

Since December 2025, I have worked as a medical doctor with the MSF Holland modular field hospital, initially providing orthoplastic care for trauma patients. As the hospital's services changed, my role shifted to caring for paediatric patients.

This website is where I share my research, testimonies, and articles from those years.
